The Alliance Française of Trinidad and Tobago organises a series of events so as to celebrate the Patois Month. It collaborates with The Festival Le Mois Kréyol and CORECA. After the creole storytelling of “Mayé a Sésilo” narrated by Benzo from Guadeloupe on Wednesday 1 October 2020, an online conference with Benzo is scheduled on Friday 16 October 2020 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm on the Facebook page of The Alliance Française of Trinidad and Tobago. According to the Facebook of The Alliance Française of Trinidad and Tobago, Benzo will make an online introduction class about Patois. “You will now hear his method to teach patois to a general audience. Everybody is welcome for this online introduction class on our great Patois and it’s culture !”, wrote the Alliance Française of Trinidad and Tobago.




Wednesday 28th October 2020 is The International Day of Creole Culture and Language or Jounen a kréyòl. The first international conference will be held “exclusively in Creole with Dominica, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Haiti, Martinique, Reunion island, Sainte-Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago and various Creole speakers from the diaspora everywhere in the world”. Be ready at 5:30 pm (Trinidad time).
