Mental Health Awareness Week 2020 in Sint Marteen

The Mental Health Foundation for Psychological Wellness in Sint Marteen is organizing a series of online activities for International Mental Health Awareness Week, which takes place from 18th to 24th May 2020. This year, the theme of the week in the island is Mental Fitness During Covid-19 times.

The Mental Health Foundation helps spreading information and awareness about mental health in this worldwide current situation. It is important for every human being to have a healthy mind in a healthy body.

All the online events are 100% free and are live-streamed at the Mental Health Foundation St. Maarten’s Facebook page. Be ready daily for a free 30-minute online home workout at 7 am. There is also the question of the day on Facebook at 1pm, then enjoy the various interactive activites every night at 7 pm.

The MHF also hosts a Facebook ‘’How are you really?’’ Competition. You can do it if you want to “tell your story of how you’re dealing with the Covid-19 situation so far. You can do this in whatever way you want (video, text, meme, poem, etc.). Send it to the MHF Facebook messenger before Wednesday 8 PM, and we’ll post all entries on Thursday. Whoever has the most likes on Friday at 3 pm wins that grand prize awarded by Kevin Suppa Petrona! Also: all entries receive a raffle ticket for even more prizes to win! Make sure you send in your story before the deadline! Many Celebrities like Kesha, Whoopi Goldberg, and Doc Rivers have done this too! “

We encourage everyone to be zen and to have positive thoughts.

In UK, the theme of this week is kindness. Take a look at this link: https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/campaigns/mental-health-awareness-week
