Today is the World Press Freedom Day Celebration. UNESCO Field Offices throughout Latin America and the Caribbean propose a series of online events dedicated to press freedom during the week. As their colleagues around the globe, media professionnals in the Caribbean have come together so as to observe World Press Freedom Day 2020 under the theme « Journalism Without Fear or Favour ».
In the light of the COVID-19, there will be webinars, online discussions via Facebook Live, YouTube, Twitter and Microsoft teams.
For instance, « Rethinking the Media Landscape in Caribbean Small Island Developing States post-COVID-19 » will take place on 4 May 2020 via the Facebook of the Association of Caribbean MediaWorkers.
